BEAUTY IN DESIGN

Meridian speakers have an iconic and timeless signature design, with arching lines that emulate an ellipse. They bring beauty to a space with their sleek, glossy, streamlined appearance, sculptural look, and feel.

The innovative design techniques to develop the speaker’s appearance were just as crucial to the function as to the unit’s look. The cabinet is the solid and stable ground needed to counteract vibration. As a result, Meridian has made the DSP8000 XE’s cabinet the most acoustically invisible cabinet yet. So, while you may be taken aback by the look of these beautiful speakers, you should also be impressed with their engineered function and resilience.

PRECISION SONIC TRANSPORT

The new Meridian loudspeaker aims to transport the listener into a new environment by providing the most realistic and high-fidelity listening experience possible. With brand-new technology and their knowledge of psychoacoustics, Meridian developed a unique platform to create an immersive soundstage in any space.

The Meridian DSP8000 XE features a new audio processing and control platform, the Atlas Software Core, and a new hardware infrastructure with a new command board, sync-link, DACs, and amplifiers. These components create a new brain for the speaker system to present digital audio at its finest.

NEXT-GENERATION DRIVE UNITS

The drive units in the new Meridian DSP8000 XE exist in two containers; one for high and low frequencies. In addition, the new ultrasonic tweeter has a beryllium dome and was designed with a waveguide to help correct tonal balance.

The bottom drive unit contains the subsonic bass drive, with units mounted in a forced balance configuration that helps to minimize bass energy and control sound better within the cabinet.
