THE PRIDE OF BRENTWOOD

For this remarkable project, our primary objective was to develop a system that’s both intuitive and effortless for the homeowner to use. Our ambition was to harmoniously blend top-tier engineering with aesthetic elegance to craft a truly unique experience.

Set in the hills of Brentwood, Correa Way is more than a luxury residence — it is a complete expression of modern California living. Expansive glass, open architecture, curated interiors, and sweeping views create a home that feels both impressive and deeply personal.

For Malibu Wired, the goal was clear: make the technology feel effortless. Every system had to support the architecture, protect the design intent, and quietly elevate daily life without ever feeling complicated.

Behind the scenes, we brought together lighting, shading, climate, security, access, entertainment, networking, pool control, gates, intercoms, and sliding doors into one intuitive Control4 experience. From a single touchscreen or keypad, the homeowner can shape the atmosphere of the home — opening shades, adjusting lighting scenes, managing comfort, checking cameras, or preparing the house for entertaining. The current project page lists Control4 OS3 integration with pool control, Nest HVAC, sliding doors, gates, and security, along with Araknis networking, DoorBird intercoms, cameras, a 7.1 home theater, Lutron HomeWorks QSX lighting, Palladiom keypads, and Lutron QS wired shades and draperies.

The home’s glass architecture makes natural light one of its defining features. That beauty also creates a challenge: heat, glare, privacy, and comfort need to be controlled without interrupting the view. Malibu Wired integrated Lutron centralized lighting and motorized shades throughout the residence, including tailored window treatments for different areas of the home — roller shades in common spaces and motorized draperies in the master suite.

What makes this project special is not just the scale of the system, but the restraint. Lutron HomeWorks and Palladiom keypads were chosen to complement the home’s interior design and art-forward environment, allowing the technology to either become a refined design detail or disappear completely.

This level of integration is also why the project became one of Malibu Wired’s proudest showcases. The residence was featured in Malibu Wired’s own video as a $29.5M luxury smart home at 1741 Correa Way, highlighting Lutron centralized lighting, motorized shades, Control4 automation, and silent shades that retract into the ceiling.

And perhaps the strongest compliment: Lutron selected this Malibu Wired project as the setting for one of their own commercial videos. That says everything about the quality of the installation — the design, the execution, and the way the technology enhances the architecture without competing with it.

Correa Way represents what Malibu Wired does best: transforming a remarkable home into a living environment that feels calm, responsive, elegant, and completely effortless.
