Last week, on April 24th, 2025, Malibu Wired had the pleasure of attending a special event at the newly renovated Sonance Studio in San Clemente (991 Calle Amanecer). As long-time partners of Sonance, we were excited to be part of this unveiling—and we were genuinely impressed.
The space has been completely transformed into a versatile, immersive showroom designed to showcase the full spectrum of Sonance and partner technologies. Each room within the studio is tailored to highlight specific solutions:
- A stunning Great Room that demonstrates the elegance and precision of LUTRON lighting.
- Dedicated spaces for in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, acoustically tuned to reflect real-world installations.
- An intimate theater setup to experience immersive audio-visual performance.
- A beautifully landscaped outdoor zone showcasing Sonance’s weatherproof speaker range.
Every corner of the studio was thoughtfully designed—not only to educate and inspire integrators like us, but also to give homeowners a tangible sense of what’s possible in their own spaces.
What stood out just as much as the technology was the hospitality. The warm, modern kitchen area served up delicious pizza and a variety of drinks, making it easy to mingle and connect with fellow professionals and Sonance staff. Despite the turnout of around 60–100 guests, the space felt open, welcoming, and never overcrowded—a testament to great planning and design.
We believe this studio could become a valuable resource for our clients. With Sonance’s permission, we look forward to bringing customers here when appropriate. It’s the perfect place to explore and compare technologies in a real-world environment—something that’s hard to replicate with photos or spec sheets.
Events like this remind us how important in-person connections are—not just at major industry shows like CEDIA, but also during more intimate celebrations like this one. It was great to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new members of the Sonance team, who were kind, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about their work.
