When WarnerMedia/HBO premiered Wonder Woman 1984 on Christmas in theaters and streaming simultaneously, it was a rethinking how films are released. With more of these planned, the days of first-run content at home are here. Of course, in the past, many films went directly to DVD, but not usually those with wide box office potential in theaters.
