VIDEO WALLS / NEW POSSIBILITIES
A 136-inch MicroLED display now has a published starting point of $31,995 MSRP. That opens up a different conversation about the room you already have—and the one you are planning.
Imagine turning a quiet wall into the center of movie night, a game-day gathering or a collection of digital art. For homeowners and business owners who have admired that scale from a distance, there is now a more approachable way to start planning.
One concrete example is Lunar Phase 3840 by Lunar Walls / Just Video Walls (JVW). Its 136-inch, 1.2 mm configuration is listed by the manufacturer at $31,995 MSRP. At Malibu Wired, we help you choose the display, install it and bring the sound, lighting and controls together around it.
A 136-inch starting point.

The manufacturer lists a 16:9, 5 × 5 cabinet array with a viewing area approximately 118.11 inches wide by 66.44 inches high—almost ten feet across. Its native resolution is 2,400 × 1,350.
For the same 136-inch size, the finer 0.9 mm option is listed at $46,995 MSRP, with 3,200 × 1,800 native pixels. Neither of these configurations is native 4K. The right choice depends on your closest seat, your content and the detail you expect to see.
These are the manufacturer’s published product prices, checked October 19, 2026. They are a starting point for planning. Malibu Wired provides a separate project quote covering the specified equipment, mounting, installation, electrical work, integration, delivery and applicable tax. Price, availability and package contents must be reconfirmed for your project.
From flagship technology to more choices.
Residential MicroLED entered the public imagination through flagship displays. Samsung introduced its modular The Wall in 2018, a milestone the company describes in its 2020 MicroLED announcement. These systems demonstrated how a display could become an architectural feature.
The early luxury market also set expectations about cost. In September 2023, LG announced its 118-inch MAGNIT 4K Micro LED display at $237,000. That helps explain why many people still associate this category with a six-figure budget.
Today, a pre-engineered product such as Lunar Phase creates a lower-priced route into a large direct-view LED display. This is a comparison of different products and market positions, rather than a price reduction on the same screen: size, pixel pitch, native resolution, processing and included equipment differ. Premium systems still have their place. The meaningful change is that there are more price points to consider.
A reason to rethink the whole space.
A man cave or car lounge, designed for gathering
A large display can give a private lounge, finished garage or car collection space a second life: motorsport on race day, a film after dinner or artwork between events. Plan it around the seats and the way guests move through the room. For multi-game sports viewing, specify the sources, processor and control layout together. A garage setting also needs a check of temperature, dust, daylight and reflections before an indoor display is selected.
A new home—or a room ready for a rethink
A new build gives you the chance to coordinate the wall structure, power, cable routes, ventilation and service access with the architect before finishes go in. An existing living room or media room can also be a candidate. We assess the mounting surface and viewing distance first, then design the screen, speakers and lighting as one composition.
An office, boardroom or client-facing space
A video wall can support presentations, product storytelling, live events or a strong visual welcome. A room used for spreadsheets and video calls has different requirements from a lounge built around films. Text legibility, camera performance, ambient light and everyday operation should guide the specification alongside size.
Choose for the room, then compare the price.
A lower entry price is useful when it leads to the right system. Start with the image width your room can comfortably support, then compare the exact products that fit.
- Viewing distance and pixel pitch. A closer seat makes pixel structure easier to notice. See familiar content at a realistic distance before choosing.
- Native resolution and sources. A 4K input does not turn a lower-resolution array into a native 4K screen. Small text, movies and sports place different demands on the display.
- The complete installation. Confirm the controller, mounting, calibration, power, service access, warranty and support included in each proposal.
Our video wall collection brings together options from JVW, Barco, Planar and AWALL. We help narrow that selection around your space, the way you watch and the overall project budget.
The installation makes the idea real.
Malibu Wired designs and installs video wall systems. Our role begins with the room study and continues through product selection, mounting and panel alignment, commissioning and system integration. The finished experience also depends on what surrounds the image: well-placed sound, appropriate lighting and controls that make everyday use straightforward.
For a new home, we coordinate those requirements with the design and construction team. For an upgrade, we work through the existing room’s constraints and the equipment worth retaining. You receive a proposal for the complete scope, so the product price can become a useful project decision.
